Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
General & Orders
- What do I receive after purchase? You receive an instant digital download containing a clean
.ZIParchive with all core vector formats (.DXF,.SVG,.AI,.CDR, and a reference.PDF). No physical product is shipped. - How quickly do I get my files?Access is instantaneous. As soon as your checkout payment is confirmed, an automated download link appears on your confirmation screen, and a duplicate backup link is sent to your order email. You can also re-download your files anytime by logging into My Account > Downloads.
- Are your files tested for cutting?Yes. Every design geometry undergoes test simulation for closed vector loops, minimal node clutter, and realistic lead-in/lead-out clearances before listing.
Machine Compatibility & Technical Support
- Which CNC machines are compatible with these files? Our files work with CNC plasma tables, fiber lasers, $CO_2$ lasers, waterjets, and CNC routers. They load directly into popular CAM post-processors including SheetCAM, LightBurn, Vectric Aspire/VCarve, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and CorelDRAW.
- Do your DXF files contain open paths or duplicate nodes? No. Files are pre-cleaned to eliminate open contour gaps, crossed vectors, and unnecessary nodes so your CAM software generates smooth, continuous toolpaths without random machine stops.
- Can I scale or resize the designs?Yes. All designs are pure vector mathematics. You can scale them up or down inside your CAM or CAD software without loss of resolution. For interlocking 3D designs (like fire pits), ensure slot widths match your measured sheet metal gauge after scaling.
- What if my software requires an older DXF version? If your machine controller requires legacy DXF formatting (such as AutoCAD R12 or R14), send your order ID to support@dxfportal.com, and our CAD team will convert and email the required version at no additional charge.
Commercial Licensing & File Usage
- Can I sell the physical items I cut from these files?Yes. Every purchase includes a Commercial Manufacturing License. You may fabricate and sell unlimited finished physical products (metal signs, fire pits, privacy screens, wall art) in your shop or online store.
- Can I resell or share the digital files? No. The license covers physical production only. Sharing, sublicensing, reselling, or bundling the digital vector files (
.DXF,.SVG,.AI, etc.) on any online platform or drive is strictly prohibited.
